I'm not afraid to stand up for what I belive in and don't feel the need to follow the crowd.

By all accounts, if you got all your blood sucked out of you, you also got enough endorphins pumped in during the process to dull most of the pain. It was like going to sleep. Of course, that was all speculation. People who died from vampire bites didn´t really come back to report on the experience.

I wish more people would understand that there is no time limit on growing up. Some people can be mature at sixteen and some people act like spoiled children all of their lives.

I don't know myself.
I don't know what I want or how I feel or how I should feel and I don't think I ever really have.

The fact that he does coke at all is more than enough to make it impossible to ever be atracted to him

What compels any of us to do the things we do when deep down a part of us just wants to break free from it all?

“Or maybe I’m not talking dirty, you just have a nasty mind.” Whoa. Did I just say that? I guess I did, since his smile widens, and grows more wicked.

“It’s all your fault. I feel downright filthy whenever you’re around.”

“Is he a germaphobe?”

“No. Just very particular, and very health-conscious.”

“Okay. That, I can get behind.” Even if my treadmill makes a better clothes hanger than it does a means of exercise.

“I missed this. Isn’t it funny how you can miss something and not know you’re missing it until it’s back in your life again? Then you look back, and you think, oh. That’s what was wrong.”

His smile . . . well, it did things to her.

“So, you’re one of those bipolar sleepers. Got it. Happy one minute when you wake up, demanding and cranky the next.”

She could argue herself into the grave over what to do with the money, and she had come here to win. More than that, she’d come here to have a good time.

"Pretty?" he asked. "I´m stunningly sexy but not pretty."

There was so much testosterone in the air, I felt like I needed a gas mask.

"For one thing, telling a lie is like eating peanuts. One leads to another. In no time at all, you`ve gone through a bag full."

Past Christmases with two incomes had provided the boys with lots of soon-to-be-broken or forgotten toys along with lots of clothes. This year the emphasis would be on family, caring, sharing and giving from the heart, homemade gifts and not so much receiving.
