En historisk roman om hendelser som i utgangspunktet er svært interessante, men hovedpersonens avskyelige personlighet gjør det vanskelig å konsentrere seg. Elizabeth Woodvilles ambisjon på vegne av seg selv og sin familie går over alle grenser, og får henne til å framstå som mer maktsyk enn viljesterk. Selv er jeg veldig interessert i det britiske kongehusets historie, og The White Queen har absolutt en verdi om man synes at historie er kult - men noen enestående litterær opplevelse var det ikke.
