Fantasy bygd på russisk mytologi er fascinerende greier! Likte nok Uprooted av samme forfatter hakket bedre, men det er mye pent å si om denne også. Liker karakterene og miljøene og kanskje spesielt hvordan de ulike parallellfortellingene veves sammen.

En herlig blanding av fantasy og folkeeventyr. Eventyr-tropene gjør seg gjeldende, og det som virkelig er prikken over i-en i denne boken er stemningen disse bidrar til. Det er i bunn og grunn en lang eventyrfortelling som er varm, spennende og fantasifull, men med dette mer tradisjonsbunde folkeeventyrpreget. Anbefales.
