Takk for at du tok med den flotte teksten. Sangen er nydelig og finnes også i en mer rocka versjon gjort av Rage Against the Machines, noe som etter min mening kler teksten godt.

Og 1 mai kommentaren har du helt rett i. Boken ble jo i sin tid beskyldt for å være kommunistpropaganda, og slikt gikk ikke upåaktet hen i USA på den tiden. Heldigvis fikk han oppreisning gjennom nobelprisen. Det skremmende er kanskje at temaet fortsatt er aktuell mtp vilkårene for immigrantene i California.
