"No matter how much you love someone, Allie, don't expect marriage to be easy."
"The best advice I can offer is this: Don't go into any relationship thinking you can change the other person.
Accept him the way he is right now, for the rest of his life. And he needs to accept you, too."
Jesus said life is gonna be hard. Period. He said if you're gonna follow Him, then you're gonna carry a cross, just like He did.
This world of ours is under a curse, honey. We need to expect things to be bad. But even if we lose everything, we still have Jesus.
But if you can gaze up at the stars at nigh and think fondly of your lost love, then it's worth falling in love and losing him.
"Did it end in heartache, dear?" "Well, yes, but it was the good kind of heartache (...) The kind where you'll always think fondly of each other, even though you know your love could never be."
Our lives mighta been much different if we'd had our way instead of God having His way.
Then one day, someone waved the magic wand again and broke the spell. Time became unfrozen, and after waiting and waiting for something to happen, everything happened at once.
I wont to get more involved in life from now on, instead of just reading about it in books. I want tot spend more time with people (...)
If I've learned anything while I've been here, it's how important it is to have family and friends and people around us to share our lives with.
"That's what comes from reading to many books. They give you an overactive imagination."
"Well, you read a lot of books, too." "I know, and I'm having the same problem you are."
