Omtale fra Den Norske Bokdatabasen
In spite of its original influences, the work of Otto Wagner (Vienna, 1841-1918) represents a movement towards the new trends that will dominant the Europe in the early twentieth century. Wagner's architecture concedes great importance to the building in relation to the city and also to its usefulness. His conception to urban design, deeply permeated by the Baroque and the Renaissance styles, is translated into the creation of open spaces and an ordered distribution of buildings.
