This volume contains nine articles on different aspects of the language of the Faroe Islands. Four of the contributions have syntactic themes, dealing with questions of reflexivisation, case-marking, word-order and the occurrence and status in Faroese of "Island Scandinavian" features. Three explore the interface between syntax and meaning in the fields of prepositional and auxiliary-verb usage. And a brief treatment of the phonological development complete the collection.
