Tar gjerne imot bokanbefalinger innenfor sjangeren. :)
The beginning of a refreshing new epic fantasy from my favorite author! This trilogy is not set in the Farseer world. It is set in a world ruled by military, discipline and politics. The first part of the book details a backstory for our young hero that drives the story forward. As the story progresses we will be entangled in the world of the cavalla, the world of politics (and the strife between Old Nobles and New Nobles), as well as the magic world. At first glance, it seems that the magic world is very far removed from the the military and political world, but turns out to be the red herring.
I did not get as transfixed and emotionally invested in the character as I have in previous books. This due to the fact that I still don't really know the difference between Old Nobles and New Nobles, despite the fact that the author has explained it numerous times. Also, this first book is a bit darker than anticipated. It is still very good though and I am eager to continue reading the story as it, and the character matures.
