Millions of political prisoners in Russia were rounded up and
driven out to work on the great construction projects
of communism. Hundreds of thousands of them died
of scurvy and malnutrition.
Meanwhile large numbers of people, overcome with admiration,
lauded the Soviet regime.
It wasn't that they lacked the necessary information; simply
they didn't want to know, didn't want to believe it.
